Description
Ecosprin Tablet 150mg is an analgesic used in the treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever (for temporary relief) and also in relieving pain and inflammation associated with musculoskeletal and joint disorders, juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. The medicine further helps to reduce clots in the blood vessels and risk of death or nonfatal myocardial infarction in patients with preceding infarction or unstable angina pectoris (chest pain). However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive. There may be other conditions for which this medication may be used upon doctor?s discretion.
Composition : The active ingredient of Ecosprin Tablet 150mg is Aspirin (also known as Acetylsalicylic Acid (ASA))150mg.
Mechanism of Action :
With its analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic and anti-platelet properties, Aspirin irreversibly withholds cyclooxygenase, reduces thromboxane A2 and prostaglandin synthesis. Prostaglandins are the components responsible for inflammation, pain and platelet aggregation. Thus by reducing the synthesis of these, the inflammation is controlled.
