Description

Shelcal ISO capsules are used to treat conditions caused by calcium deficiency such as osteoporosis, osteomalacia, improper activity of parathyroid gland. These capsules also act as supplements during reduced calcium levels, and to treat postmenopausal osteoporosis, blood coagulation. Apart from these uses, this medicine also helps in managing proper heart health and keeps bones health strong in menopause women. However, the uses mentioned here are not exhaustive.

Mechanism of Action :

Calcitriol is the active form of Cholecalciferol (vitamin D3) which acts by stimulating the Calcium and Phosphate absorption. It stimulates bone resorption, renal tubular resorption. The drug also decreases PTH levels and restores bone mineralization.
Calcium is an antacid which works by neutralizing the acid released in the stomach.
Isoflavones are the class of Phytochemicals which are found in plants. These help in maintaining good health, prevent illness and may also help in blocking breast cancer-causing agents.
